silly trivial question about k6, speedo pickup?

Hello again.
Not an important question but it's one that confused me.
I have an sv650k6.... put it on the paddock stand to clean and oil the chain in lazy mode. had it in first and then had this very childish brainwave that i'm sure would occur to any of us when unsupervised "I wonder how fast I could get this wheel to spin" hmmmm but the thing seems to have outsmarted me and the speed remains at 0mph. I thought it must read the front wheel.... but how? I dont see any sensors or bugger all.

u have a brain just like mine, i just spent five minutes playing with Club biscuits racing them round a track i made on my kitchen table using drinks mats. Just me at home racing my club biscuits having fun. Mint Club won by the way.

The magnet and sensor is fitted to the front wheel on the curvy. Think yours is the same?

I have no space for it at my house so cant go out and look lol, im lookin at pics of it and cant see it. is it part of the caliper or built into it?

And Ian, i like racing, and I like club biscuits but im afraid none of them would have finished if it were me. unless it was a race to my stomach lol

The speedo sensor is on the front spindle, on the inside of the left fork leg. Well it is on mine anyway

Thanks boss, I see it now....

I have another stupid question tho.... under the rear seat there is a metal rod device with a loop on the end, I gave it a pull.... yes you read it right, I pulled my rod..... well it came off in my hand, it has a slight bend near the end and a but appears to have no purpose, or at least I havent found anything useful to stick it in yet. What is that for??? its just clipped in there and comes out without too much effort.

The rod is for propping the tank up when your doing work under it!

AHHHHHH!!!!!! nice one sirs.... I had been using a block of wood (yes another pun, I have wood) to be honest I'm not usually as stupid as I let on usually, but on this occasion I would never have figured that one out myself. I would have used it as some kind of road rage eye gouger
