Best wax/polish/shampoo to use on new paint?
 

I've recently got my bike (07 pointy) back from repairs.

Every last piece has been resprayed and it looks absolutely wonderful and it also feels so smooth and new!

I want to maintain that finish, so I've been asking round about the best sort of products to invest in - Apparently Autoglym have the best range of polish, wax and car cleaning products etc.

Can anyone recommend a certain product from autoglym or a combination etc?

I'm thinking of getting the shampoo and the super resin polish

Any good make should be fine. I like the Autoglym range and use it though I flinch a bit at the price. Shampoo is not so critical just don't use washing up liquid.

I use the autoglym super resin polish.

Brings the Daytona up lovely :)

I was told by a valeter to always use carnuba wax. It isn't abrasive & does a wonderful job :)

A polish is a mild abrasive. It will, over time, haze the finish.

Get a carnuba wax and a top coat sealant.

Meguires carnuba wax in a tin is very good, followed by poor boys exp sealant.

Only wash with micro fibre cloths, sponges ruin paint.

Dry with another cloth.

Autoglym is in reality a fairly cheap brand although mote than good enough for most. As said earlier meguairs is good as is dodo juice and zymol. Other brands are also available.! ;)

i use

and it works wonders mine is an 06 and the paint is still as new

+1 got both of those and the ultra deep shine works particularly well on darker colours.
