clutch adjustment
 

Hi all

Just a teaser out to the SV vets. i currently own a 99 curvy with renthal bars fitted complete with the i believe renthal clutch and brake handles
i recently replaced the clucth cable as the old one was at max adjustment

now ive been tweaking the cable adjustment last 2 rides out and its is back into the fully adjusted position as the previous cable

oil level is correct , i suspect there may be a different size cable that should be fitted with these bars or alternatively i got a very poorly clutch

any advice please

ps i asked my dad richie and im gonna check for a bent clutch push rod in the morning

you been adjusting the clutch at the right end and not the lever

Yes adjusting it on the clutch end first but i still keep ending up with no clutch until i fully wind out the lower end of the cable( at clutch mechanism) and screw in the top end fully into the clutch handle

also adjusted screw/locknut before setting up cable

you adjusted the worm drive?

worm drive as in the the adjuster lock nut and screw bit ? or is there another part of the mechanism i dont know about

cheers m8 ill have another play in the morning, gonna completely strip and clean before adjusting hoping that will make a difference
