Transporting a spare helmet
 

whats the best way to transport a spare helmet? i have a cargo net thing and bungees, im just not sure they would be secure.

hey russ i have been using motrax pillion lidstraps for a good few months now and they are perfect.

i just wrap the straps around a secure bar under the seat put the seat back on and then fix down the helmet and tighten the straps as necessary. hope this helps!

I use my cargo net and put the helmet in my one of these

The lid isnt totally solid, but then the lid never sits on the surface of the lid, as the helmet is held in by the elastic straps, so even when the cargo net is really tight it isnt compressing on the lid. Works for me, but may not be everyones cup of tea. Does have a nice carry handle when you take it off the bike, and i also use it to protect my lid in my bedroom, like when it isnt on my head.

Are you mad? A back pack for a crash lid, you must be mad, if you came off with a lid strapped to your back you could get injured and end up a hunch back. Oh! look at your avatar, I'm really sorry, too late!

Is this where you tell me a back back isn't a ruck sack, and I'm a twerp?

I dont mean a normal backpack because that would be mad and allsorts of horrible possibilities could happen. I use a helmet carrier with breakaway shoulder and waist straps (that may still cause injury in a spill) and dont find it too bad. This type Please take note of the dangers as pointed out by the idle biker. ps hes not a twerp and he does look good in yellow speedo's ;)
