Re: arent birds clever.. the feathered kind.
I've learned the hard way not to use them - They end up bald and normally the plants are dug up to!

Yep Dave, the feathered variety are the clever ones ;)
*runs and hides from the unfeathered, not so clever, ones.* |
Re: arent birds clever.. the feathered kind.
Those particular types are vicious buggers too. I remember them nesting in my parents baskets on the fence... if you went in the garden you were dive bombed.
Turf them out before your garden becomes useless for a few months. |
Re: arent birds clever.. the feathered kind.
They're particularly miffed this year, as we had the guttering cleared out so they can't drop moss bombs on you when you go out the back door!
Since the cat numbers increased when the neighbours moved in, they don't like to come to tea in front of my kitchen window anymore :( They were never bothered by our three...well ok, may Mister Tibbs! Dunnocks BTW I thnk |
Re: arent birds clever.. the feathered kind.
Yep hoouse and hedge sparrows there.
The bluetits were my main culprits but the sparrows loved tearing it apart and then rotting in the soil for more!! In the end i relented and bought extras and just hung them up to let them stop going for the baskets! |
