Aftermarket Exhaust on restricted ECU?

If i fit a restricted ECU (33 BHP), to a fuel injected sv650 (pointy one i think you call it :smt050?), will it still restrict the bike to a max 33bhp if i add an aftermarket end can or will the end can add bhp, so give me like 35/36 horsies? Cheers in advance.

Cant imagine it will do a lot, the ecu will restrict the fueling. It should be fine.

Nope. Nada, nout. Restricted youll find it puts out more like 30hp at the wheel anyway so put a nice loud can on it =]

even on a derestricted bike the exhaust adds like 1bhp (the sticker adds more :p )

go faster stickers...also known for reducing weight and aerodynamic drag. Its Science.

I see the science in adding stickers reduces weight. Good idea :D

I would obviously like to do that, but getting caught by the police wouldnt be much fun :( If you were some wiz you could have a switch that switches between ecus for the dyno run, obviously ud have to find space to stick a 2nd ecu in though.

I was thinking of how to do this the other day, might look into it!

TBH as long as you short shift the bike still moves quickly upto 80/90mph just the top end where there is no power present.

Re: Aftermarket Exhaust on restricted ECU?

But all the power really kicks in at about 6k+ and thats where the restriction kicks in. Once you ride it unrestricted, its just horrible riding with it in again. By no means slow, but just not as fun!
