What? DVLA efficiency
 

So a DVLA envelope fell through the letter box. I sort of guessed it was the bike tax. What they have issued two. Reread. no one is for the car.

Apart from a logistics **** up having two renewals in the same month on my part. I am impressed. Two renewal notices, one envelope.

It probably cost more to code the computer to handle multiples than the saving in postage. But then again I suppose it would be a right pain in the arris for fleet operators if each renewal was separate.

You watch - you'll get another envelope through the door with two more renewal notices and that'll be followed by another letter asking why you've not paid for all four renewals.

Maybe they've struck a deal with Royal Mail and the costs have been offset against posties shoe leather?

No, they're getting slightly more efficient. They sent me two last month for a couple of the bikes.

However, they weren't that good, as they sent my tax reminder for the car in April without 'the budget' increase. I wasn't impressed when at the post office ggrrr

they do write on the renewall that if its due after the budget the price may change, i noticed that after forgetting to get catherines and ending up paying more..

My renewal is more bitter as my old mans road tax is half the bikes - t***!
