GS550 unfinished project

My Dad passed away last year and my mum has decided she'd like to move house/down size. Because of this I have been going through the stuff in his garage.

I have for sale a half restored Suzuki GS400 fitted with a 550cc engine from the same period.

this bike would make an excellent restoration project or maybe a cafe racer toy :D

the bike was in good working order before we started the project but it was looking a bit tired and had a small oil leak.

the leak came from a small crack in the head casting at the front were the timing chain is located, during the rebuild the head was sent to have the crack aluminium welded and re-skimmed flat.

i have most of the parts to complete the build but at the moment can't locate the plastic rear light cover or the small plastic side covers. i suspect my dad had put them somewhere safe so they didn't get damaged but can't garrantee i will find them in time for a buyer.

the engine has been rebuilt with the original parts (as there was nothing wrong with them) the valve were re-ground. gaskets replaced etc.
The seat was professionally re-upholstered
frame, side stand, swing arm, battery tray etc have all been bead blasted and powdercoated black.
i have the logbook which shows the engine change (the conversion was done before we got the bike).

not really sure what its worth but think we want around £350.

i think this is a very reasonable price as it doesn't even cover the costs of the work already done on the project, not including our time or the cost of the original bike. but unfortunately it has to go as my mum is selling up and neither me or my brother have the space to keep it.

if anybody want to see the bike, please let me know and we can arange to meet at my mums to view it. :D
The bike is located in Ramsbottom, North of Manchester. i live only 4 miles up the road so can arrange to meet up pretty much whenever is convenient for the buyer.
