second chance offers on Ebay
Hi all,
I have sold a guitar amp on ebay, the winning bidder was from hungry, he emailed me to say that he was going to organise collection of the amp, and asking how he was going to pay. I emailed back saying that was fine, and i will need either payment through paypal prior to collection, or cash on collection, and to tell me when he was collecting. That was on Monday, and i am still to have had communication back. at what satage can i offer it to the next highest bidder? and how do i go about it? just email him and say if i dont not hear back from you by 20:00 on Thursday 12th may i will be offering it to the next bidder? Never had this happen before Cheers |
Re: second chance offers on Ebay
Contact the buyer in your 'sold items' section and send him a email
Some folk can take an age to sort themselves out, but I had the same thing happen to me. You can also report a non paying bidder which lets him have a couple of days to sort it out before you can do the 2nd chance option If he doesn't pay, you can relist the item again at no charge |
Re: second chance offers on Ebay
ok cool, i will send him a email asking what is going on, if not then i will report him as non paying,
Cheers for that. |

Re: second chance offers on Ebay
Make sure you dont get rolled over on this mate. If you use paypal i have seen many abroad sales go pear shaped. The buyer claims back the money from paypal saying not as described and you get a box back with a brick in it. I refuse to sell overseas now due to the frequency of these type of scams.

Yes they can if the buyer puts in a dispute

Re: second chance offers on Ebay
They can, do and will mate. I'm on another forum and read posts regarding paypal on a weekly basis. The last was a guy sold a set of golf clubs to an eastern euro country. The buyer filed a complaint saying they were too short!!!! Paypal reversed the £300 and the guy is still waiting for his clubs. They were standard clubs nothing saying anything about being short as they weren't and paypal sided with the buyer which is normally always the case. I hope all goes well with your sale if the guy pays but the scams are happening more and more

Re: second chance offers on Ebay
I had a couple of overseas guys trying to buy my Sat Nav on ebay, but I told them to feck off.
Although I did eventually sell it to a Dutch guy, as the bloke in the UK didn't pay! But I would agree with Electro, no foreign buyers |
