Pointy misfire and running problems.
 right, SV650 K6 has a bad misfire, then cuts out on me. takes a while to get it to prime again, then will restart reluctantly. only recently has the FI light started to flash and show the FI symbol both on the left of the dash and also in the Temperature corner.
i have no idea what could be causing this, i hope that someone can shed some light on this as i have a feeling this could end up costing alot to sort out and i dont want it to be something stupid. i have re-adjusted the TPS following the tips shown in that great thread on here, and whislt in dealer mode, there was no codes showing on the dash, only showed C00, which i understand to mean no fault. i have checked all switches, such as sidestand switch, kill switch and tip over switch and all are fine and working as they should. thank god for medal of honour games where i can shoot a shed-load of taliban to de-stress myself. :smt071 thanks guys, hope someone can shed some light on this Tom :( |
Re: Pointy misfire and running problems.
dodgy battery or connection.
broken TPS. split/disconnected hose somewhere. dodgy connection block somewhere. there is no easy answer to your question as there is far to many variables involved. when you say it takes a while to get it to 'prime' again do you mean that the fuel pump is not kicking in or is it just hard to start? but if it helps i seem to remember that someone else had the same problem a while ago and it turned out to be the TPS was knackered, i'm not saying that's the problem with your bike. |
Re: Pointy misfire and running problems.
have a lookski at the rubbers from the airbox to the throttle bodies you may have not tightened a clamp or theres a knackered clamp

Re: Pointy misfire and running problems.
its in garage now, i got very angry with it. i hadnt take the air box out to check all those things,
to prime is when i heard the whizzing sound from the fuel pump. |
