ipod help
i have converted some avi files to mp4 to watch films, when they were in avi format they worked fine on my computer, however when they are on mp4 on my ipod the sound is running about 3 seconds faster, i am presuming this is because the codec hasnt copied over, so my question is does anyone have a way of getting around this?

Codecs dont get copied over. AVI/MP4 are just container formats and the actual contents can vary wildly. Get some software that does conversion to iPod specific - there are free ones out there. Maybe one from this page (I have used the PSP specific one before) http://www.redkawa.com/videoconverters/ |
Re: ipod help

Re: ipod help
Just for the record, I have NOT gone soft on fruit based problems.
This was a video transcoding issue and not hardware specific :p Hehe Is the MP4 version in sync with the sound when you play it on your computer? If so, then just use that as the input file when you get the transcoding software, there is no need to to convert back to AVI first. As said, MP4 is just a sticker, is like if someone asked me what kind of bike I had and I just answered Suzuki. You probably have encoded the file to be Hyabusa and the iPod needs it as GSXR-750, both are still Suzuki tho. |
