Daft question - bar end weights

Just been into the garage to lock my bike up for the night and I notice that the rhs bar end weight is missing. I guess this is a result of my fitting heated grips last weekend (i know, i know its June!!) and struggling to get it back on tight enough because the new grip is slightly longer than the original.

Question is - I have a weekends riding planned, how much difference is it going to make to my ride if I cant get a new one in time. Am I ok to take the other off and ride without? Will the vibrations from the bars be really bad or will I not notice much difference?

Thanks guys xx

just take the other one out. its not going to make a huge difference to the vibrations.

i'm probably going to get flamed here but bar ends only stop the vibrations travelling back up the bar or if they do it changes the frequency. much the same principle as tonearms on turntables.

I'm running one of my SV's without bar end weights and there's no noticeable difference TBH. Other bikes might differ I suppose.

They do help damp shaking . So if you get a tank slapper on get a new one.
