On the scrounge
 

I've ordered some ratchets straps to hold a bike onto a trailer.
It doesn't look like they'll arrive until next weekend and I'm hoping to pick up a bike this Wednesday. I've got to work like a dog over the next few days and I know I won't be able to get out and buy any alternatives.

Is there anyone with 15 miles or so from Haslemere that is willing to lend me some for a week? I'll leave a deposit with you etc and "buy you a beer".

Where are you picking the bike up from?

Good point, am picking the bike from Castle Coombe race track. I'll be going through Petersfield, Winchester and Newbury, along the M4 via Swindon to arrive at the track by about 8am.

I've got 2 of these straps, I bought them specifically for moving bikes. Meant to be used on the handlebars. Have moved a few bikes with them in the van and also kitkats raptor all the way back from loch lomond on a trailer!

Not sure on the break strength of these but they feel pretty sturdy, I used small ones for the raptor when I had that on a trailer.

I have a bunch of ratchet straps in the garage, as well at a strap that goes over the handle bars. If you need anything just drop me a PM

Hi guys, really appreciate the offers. I work in London but have a car undergoing repairs at a mates Garage in Harrow. Depending on how I go, and where I am I'll pm you on Monday to see who's around when I'm in the area.

I've got plenty of ratchet straps in the garage including handlebar straps. You're more then welcome to borrow them. I'm in Swindon or I can even meet you at the track to give you a hand loading it if you want providing its outside of office hours. PM me if required...
