Bike Doesn't Feel Right?

Hi Guys,

About 6 weeks ago i had a low speed spill and ended up in a grass ditch (never a good thing). Anyway since then the bike seems to run ok but doesn't seem to get upto speed as quickly as it use to. The bike came down on the right hand side, theres a few scrapes on the clutch cover but no cracks and no oil leaking.
I distinctly remember i could get to 100mph with not alot of twist on the throttle but now i have to give it loads to even reach that speed. Any idea's? It's 2003 Pointy, could it just be a matter of the clutch just need readjusting? also the before the spill i adjusted the idle to 1300 and it would stay at that even when cold but now only goes to 1300 when warmed up.

My next service is at 8000 miles which i am 1000 miles away from, is there anything obvious i should check?

Thanks,

Si

OK i just thought, when i had the spill and i rode my bike back home it was sound, HOWEVER will i was fixing it up i did mess a little with the clutch adjuster on the lever could this be causing what i think could be the clutch slightly slipping.
Should i try adjusting the clutch from the bottom or not?

Had a dabble with the clutch after viewing some threads on here about adjustment and this morning the bike seems to be pulling as normal, so after all it appears to have been the clutch just needing adjusting. Thank god it wasn't anything serious.

PHEW
