Finally back on the road..

Well as the title suggests, my bike is now back on the road all taxed and legal etc...
After sitting in a garage for 10 months, the first task was to bring it back the 200 miles to home. So i googled the measurements for a '06 ZX-10R and decided that it would easily fit in a ford transit connect (think mini postman Pat van).
So there I am, with my bike half in and out of the van,
'Si, i thought you measured this?',
'I did Jim, checked the wheelbase on t'internet etc.'
'Err, wheelbase is from where the wheel touches the road not front to back..'
'Ah, bugger.'
Cue the bike's front wheel sitting about an inch behind the gearstick, and she was in! Success.
I did get slightly worried when it came to the MOT and as I explained the high revving problem, the guy asked me if it had a manual choke, oh dear. (He had old Nortons and BSA's everywhere)

So if you fancy a ride with a nervous, not ridden properly in months, sticky throttle on a litre sportsbike type person, let me know :)

Si
