Another bloody puncture

The fourth one on this bike in 2 1/2 years. I went 31 years with only one puncture before I bought this bike, and now have yet another one - this time a phillips screw right in the centre of the tread of my almost new (800miles) Michelin Pilot Road 3. I got two in the rear of the original Dunlop and another 18 months later in the front Pirelli when I was in Malta before this one

I'm beginning to think this bloody bike is tyre-cursed.

If you had HID's, you would have been able to see the screw and avoid it!

Thats a shame, why dont you see if the place you got the tyre form will do a warranty replacement on it for you?
Given the location there should be no reason why you can get a puncture repair done to it either

And the moral of the story is--------

DON'T RIDE OVER SCREWS :)

Always seems to happen on new tyres, just a bit of bad luck and one of the joys of biking

It's in the centre, what's the problem? 5minute repair or 20-30 mins if you want it doing a bit better.

I had a stanley blade through the side the other month (under a pile of leaves outside my house :( ) and a screw luckily in the centre the week or two before.

It'll get a proper repair when I get to work tomorrow. I work at the local Kawasaki dealership so the tyres were fitted by myself there a couple of weeks or so ago.

My problem is I hadn't had any punctures from April 1978 until May 2005, and then none from then until I bought this bike in March 2009 and got a puncture 2 weeks later. Since then I've had two more in rear tyres and one in the front. It's like my bike is a puncture magnet.
