I've got a stiffy! (stiff chain link)
So I got a new chain and I noticed almost immediately a knocking through the footpegs an thought I'd go home to see if I can spot what's wrong. Looked it over but saw nothing wrong. Today I took a closer inspection and stuck the bike on my paddock stand and found the stiffy! It looks like the one they connect the chain together with. I drowned it in lube and tried wriggling it a bit and then went for a ride. It was slightly better but still noticeable. Will this slowly easy off or have they cocked up the link? I got home and drowned it again in lube and oil and will try again tomorrow. Should I go back to the garage at the weekend if it's not right or should I wait a bit to see if it eases off?

Sounds like garage nipped it putting it on.
It might free off in time then again it will generate heat in doing so. As you paid for it fitting I would ask them to replace link with new one and fit it properly. |

The thing to think about is do you want it fixed before you do any damage to the chain or your sprockets? Might be worth getting it looked at before you go for any long rides.
Take it steady and be ready to shout at people in the garage in your lest camp way! ;-) |

I rode it to work today and it's barely even noticable now unless I really concentrate. It's loosened up loads. If I can still feel it on saturday I'll drop in the shop and tell them.
