Bloody rugby
Pre-season has been underway for a few weeks now, the fitness is returning along with a bit of speed and muscle, and then I break my ankle in two places! Had an extreemly restless night and the ankle was the size of a grapefruit this morning. Couldn't put any weight on the foot at all so my lovely wife suggests picking up a set of crutches from the doctors as I thought it was a bad sprain (I had one similar about 5 years ago). The nurse has a look at it and said she wanted me to go to the hospital for an x-ray to be on the safe side. Hours later I discover that there is a double fracture with the possibility of it requiring pinning. I have a clinic apointment tomorrow morning which will decide on what happens. Until then I have a temporary cast, beer and cocodamol :) The kids can't wait to decorate the cast though. Any suggestions on colour schemes? |

Re: Bloody rugby
Great idea KJ. I'll hit the virtual shops tomorrow!
The list of summer jobs has ground to a halt. And I was looking forward to getting loads done too. Two of which involved digging minor footings and setting a ramp and step onto our new patio (that I had fortunately finished at Easter). I was also planning a thorough deep clean and TLC of the sv, and track daying it at the end of the month. Now I won't be back to school for the first two weeks probably, and in my school a settled start to the year can make the rest of the year much, much easier. |
