iPhone 3gs - Tech help required.

Ok I've been dragging myself all through cyber space trying the million and 12 different restore type methods out there and Im still coming up blank.
I'll start at the beggining.

iPhone get quite wet on the AR and shut its self down.
I've left it over 24hrs in rice first in the sunlight on the front room radiator, then over night on top of the sky box.
This morning I plugged it into charge and go the correct symbols on the screen even though nothing else happend.
So followed googles advice and once at work on my sync'd machine I did a restore.
Then during the restore some works software updated and caused an auto-restart of my PC.
Since then I've had nothing but the loading screen (apple logo and progress circle) looping on the iPhone.
Found some links which stated I should re-do the restore.
So with a combination of home and power button I got the "connect to itunes" symbols up on the screen. Everything went well until.
Now during the selection of a back up an error window pops up, so I decided feck it I'll go for a new restore (factory fresh).
This restore then completed but still Im stuck with the apple logo just constantly loading.
I then found more links which said to do the restore procedure again but to do it instead in DFU mode, I've carried this out and still I'm in exactly the same situation.

At this time I've just uninstalled and reinstalled itunes, downloaded a IPSW zip file and Im about to try again but select the restore file manually.

If this doesnt work Im at my wits end and could do with as much help as possible. cheers.

*wanders in, reads Owenskis plight and reminds herself not to get her new iPhone wet*

Yeh, if you have an apple shop close by I would take it into them, if they can't fix it, no one can! Hope you have it insured?

Worth a try but they will be able to tell that its been wet and may refuse to help, other than guide you to the nearest iPhone shelf to select another one.

I have a mate who repairs iphones.
he's not a guy with a screwdriver set from maplins, but someone who has invested thousands in training and getting the right tools and equipment.
If you get a new one and want the old one repaired, or just simply want to pay for a repair get in touch.
His website is http://www.corephone.co.uk/ and I can vouch for him and all the testimonials being genuine.

Yeah accidental damge of all kinds including water damage, the only small print is that with the iphone they're not likely to provide a replacement instead it would more than likely be a differnt handset or cash.

Ipod touch and all ipods now have a device to let you know if water damage has occurred..(obviously OP is aware that it's most definately water damage causing this issue) If you look down the headphone socket, you should see a white bit if plastic..if any water has been detected near the charging port, this will be pink and phone/ipod locks up.
10 month old babies dribbling on it has same effect!!..not worth repairing ipod touch apparently..iPhone, not so sure.
