Tyres

Hi forum, what tyres are people using on the track and where is a good place to buy-price wise?

SuperCorsa's. Used to use SC0's and SC1's but now run SC2's as there doesnt seem to be much difference in level of grip.

Thanks for the reply bud, so does £280 a set sound about the going rate?

Re: Tyres

I usually use part worn from £50 - £80 from the F400 or 250 Two Stroke racers as they tend to be less abused than Mini Twin scrubs.

Might be able to sort you a set out you just after 1 set? Where abouts are you based?

Re: Tyres

I use the Dunlop GP racer slicks, but they are based on the road carcase so they come with tread to in exactly the same rubber. Slicks seem to last longer, but obviously need warmers and you can't ride to the circuit on them! Usually around the £270 a pair mark but Focused Events were knocking them out at £200 a set today at Silverstone which is a right bargain.

thanks for the reponses, you guys are great!

ive never run a bike on the track using new tyres, always scrubs (too poor!) - not too sure about racing on scrubs but if im skint, it WILL happen! ha. im still in the process of trying to sell my GSXR and buy an SV so i dont need any hoops urgently but very shortly i will do!

Re: Tyres

The SC1/SC2 mix is the favorite tyre choice for most MRO minitwin riders and supercorsa pros are good enough for most riders and appreciably cheaper than the Diablos by around £50 a set.
