Illfitting puig, or maybe it's just me...

I've gone and bought this Puig hugger for my sk6. It was advertised that it came of an sk8. I checked this website to see if the part no's were the same and they are. My issue is that the hugger is rubbing on the right side of my tyre...

Has anyone else had issue's like this?

I was expecting a 10 minute job but it's taken most of my morning trying to adjust it were I and I'm still in the same problem

Help please.

This will sound daft but...

Have you pinned it properly on the R/H side of the swingarm?

I believe I have. I don't have any instructions with but I was certain I'd be able to handle a rear hugger. I have bolted the bracket that came with it to the swing arm and the brake hose guide is on top of the bracket. Where the bracket bolts to the hugger, there is a small amount of room to to adjust the position but this doesn't make any difference.

Is it possible for plastic to warp?

Cant you adjust it from the chain side i.e, where it bolts to the swing arm by loosening the bolt moving it slightly and tightening bolt again, if you follow what i mean?

at which point did they shorten the swingarm on the SV's, from 07 onwards? You may have one thats for a shorter swingarm model

Naked were shorter swingarms, but Suzuki being practical cut material off the back of the swinging arm (a lot cheaper than a completely different unit)
Mounts are all the same. Along with the swingarm design since the k4

The designated sport models of the fully faired SV650 had shorter swingarms too..2006 onwards.

What practical difference does it make, and is it worth considering looking for one to swap on my non-sport K6?
