Bar end bolt size problems

So my left bar end came out. The rubber stopper is a bit folded so I figure I should loosen the hex bolt in there to loosen the rubber so I can set it to put it back on but I can't find a proper size. It definitely looks like a hex but a 4 is too small and a 5 seems to big. Has anyone seen something like this before or tips to fixing?
