k5 650S pointy coolant change.

Hi all, I really need to change the coolant as its been in 5 years.
I know I can drain most of it out using the drain plug with the reservoir & radiator caps open & wonder if it will empty completely.
Is it ok to flush through the radiator then out the drain plug to rid the system of old coolant? All replies greatly appreciated, keith h
