Brake pad life?

Could anyone give me a rough idea on how many miles brake pads last?

I know there are many variables but any idea would be good :)

It depends, how hard do you ride what type of pads ??

MY 2005 has nearly 19000 miles and the original pads still have about 1000 miles left on the front . I changed the back about 2 weeks ago with 18000 on them . They still had a bit of life before the wear limit was reached.

I think thats pretty good for Suzuki.

Your front pads are outlasting your rears? Are they the same brand / type? That really is odd.

If you do a lot of slow speed / town work / filtering, it wouldn't surprise me, especially on a SV with so much engine braking.
