SV650S Exhaust/Can options
 

Hi Guys,


I'm wanting to change the stock can on my SV for something a little louder :p preferably with removable baffle. Been looking at Quill, Scorpion and Motad but unsure if they vary much in sound, which I imagine they do.

Want something that sounds throaty and I've also heard some bikes when the throttle is closed and block changing down they get popping and cracking which I like. My SV is a K7 which is fuel injected so I think i'm out of luck with the popping and cracking as I imagine its unique to carb models running lean anyway. But any input would be great. Tried going by the pootube vids but most of the recordings are shocking and you can't hear and feel the sounds :smt067:smt067 ha ha ha!

Bike is SV650S k7

Open to other brands of exhausts, but must be road legal!!

Hi Guys,

Decided on a Quill Evo 2 Carbon, sounds really nice slightly higher note than the stock can. Only issue I have at the moment is the link pipe is the wrong angle so sticks out a little, but Quill have excellent customer service and are sending me out a replacement before the wrong one is sent back to keep me up and running.

Will post a pic of the little minx when its fitted properly and if I can get a good quality recording I'll post on youtube if anyones interested!

the injection pops and cracks just as much, if not more. mine certainly does when your rolling down a hill in gear on a closed throttle, sounds like small arms fire :smt070and then sounds like a bomb going off when you go from WOT to a closed throttle and shift down
