New arrivals
Here's Dorothy and Clucky, our two new chickens:

Re: New arrivals
A fine looking pair.

Re: New arrivals
Does that make you Foghorn Leghorn then Ed?
|
Re: New arrivals
How old and what breed are they Ed?
Well on the way to the good life eh! If you need any help or advice, have a log on to the down the lane forum. Very good bunch. Pete ;) |
Re: New arrivals
They're not that old, about 3 weeks I guess, they think that Sophie is their mum:lol: Breed? I think a Suffolk-Warren cross. Does that make sense? We got them from a place in west Shropshire, they're nearly Welsh!!!

Re: New arrivals
Was it the rare breed poultry place at Onibury near Ludlow?
Suffolks are an old breed, Warrens are factory bred egg machines. Pete ;) |
Re: New arrivals
Then I dunno exactly Pete... the mother is a Suffolk, no idea about the dad except to say he was a fine looking lad, strutting his stuff:D
No not from Onibury, from a farm at West Felton. Very much free range, I don't think much has changed since the 1950s:lol: |
