Advice Required on a Route...
 

Tonight I have to negotiate this bit of road

I will be coming from the East on the M42 and need to get onto the A491 towards Bell End

Wouls I be best leaving the M42 at Junction 1 and cutting up and under the M5 at J4, or should I just stay on the M42, onto the M5 then exit at J4?

Thanks for any advice.

BTW I am travelling from London to Bridgnorth, wanting to get there ASAP, us the A491 the way to go?

Stay on the motorway, It will be quicker.

I use that bit all the time. Both islands have traffic lights on them and there are traffic lights on the road too, its also a 40 zone iirc. If you get a bad run it can get pretty congested depending on the time of day.

Its a more interesting route though, with a new honda bike place in the middle.

What I suspected, the SatNav/Google was saying to get off the Mway, but I had my doubts.

Yep defo stay on the mway, that section always moves ok so should be lots quicker.
