Mate has some textile gear made by Weise, removable liner/waterproof liner, so you layer up/down dependant on the weather, he thinks they're the bogs dollocks.

Me dad uses there textiles, he likes them very much. Waterproof with a thermal liner, his have done 30,000ish miles and still look good for the same again. I'll try and get a more detailed review of him tomorrow morning.
I also have a weise tank bag, that is in daily service, no probs at all, and it securly holds all my work stuff and keeps it dry in all but the heaviest downpours. Without the additional waterproof cover might I add.

I had a Weise Dynastar 2 (I think) jacket and trouser combo before my latest upgrade - very good, and only gave up the ghost after about 4 years of abuse.

I've got a Weise xblade2 jacket, the most I've ridden in the rain is 141 miles of rain & spray on the M1 , A1. Completely dry, so recommended.

Be careful, the Weiss Sophie jacket I bought in 2007 is still water proof, despite a large exhaust burn on the sleeve and keeps me very warm in winter. The armour is really well placed and seriously comfy.

The Weiss X-Blade jacket I bought this spring leaks really badly, the seams are starting to fail, the lining is falling apart and the armour moves about. There has been a real drop in quality since 2007. At the same time I bought mine, Carol bought a really expensive one. Hers is still water proof, but it has the same problem with the liner and seams. Such a shame.

I have had a look at them and cannot find any label that states where they are made. Batch numbers are obviously very different, but then they were made four years apart.
