Continuous Insureance Failure.

I would just like to declare to everyone on the forum that I will be breaking the law on the 12th October 2011 between 11:59:00 and Midnight.

My insurance policy runs out at that point, and my new cover does not start until 13th October 00:00:00.

This means that for 1 minute I will be breaking the law, and if I am out on the bike I will be riding uninsured.

That is all.

This announcement brought to you by the Ministry for Fscked Up Thinking.

Just looking at mine and it expires at 24:00:00 on the 29th. Which is good because in theory I don't have the 1 minute uninsured, but I'm pretty sure that 24:00:00 doesn't exist on any clocks I've seen.

Maybe I should tell them and get it changed to 23:59:59 then get a £30 admin charge.

Worse than that - if your new insurance starts at 00:00:00 on the 30th then you will be insured twice for an instant !!!

Just make sure that you are with your bike between 23:59 and 00:01.
I would hate for it to be stolen whilst un-insured.

Maybe you should SORN it for the minute, just to be on the safe side.

Believe me, I nearly didn't - no-one was willing to quote me for more than TPO until ebike.

Ebike...? So it's you that's responsible for my premium going up. Can't you go somewhere else?

Hence why mines chained to a wall and to the yard at insurance renewal time.

SK Rolling burn out for 2 minutes and see if the cozzers get you for no insurance also?
