The Red Barons update page!

Hello all, I thought I would start this thread to keep all my future updates and junk in. The plans for the SV is that it will eventually become a dedicated track bike once I get my gixxer but for the time being plans are a total strip down and spruce up.

Received my freshly painted lowers and seat cowl which I test fitted before she gets SORNED later on this month.

Also fitted the blueflame which is VERY loud, but nice! All comments and criticisms gratefully received.

Nice. My favourite year curvy, with the graphite wheels and engine.

It looks pretty mint from those pics. If the track bike is a way off what's your plans for it just now?

Your garage is too tidy BTW.

Haha it's a strategic angle, you can't see the sh*t tip thats hiding behind me!

Plans are to strip her down, get the frame and swing arm powder coated flat black, get the wheels and fork stanchions powder coated and give everything a good steam clean, replace all the bearings and fasteners, basically a good old tidy.

After that just start collecting and fitting track focused parts, ie, brake lines, disks, shocks, fork springs, sprockets, levers etc etc. Keep it road legal until a have my new bike, then whip off anything I don't need, and perhaps bang on a track fairing?

Cheers

why not the gixxer for a track bike?

im with tam on the tidy garage. if there is a corner with out S*** in it. Then its to tidy. not to mention the amount of wall space you have with is in a nice white, with a tidy hose reel rather then having it all over your garden, and a nice shutter, with out any dents or marks............

ok

im jealous, give me garage and you will get good karma in return

just noticed the heater as well. YOU HAVE A HEATER!!!

No the bike has a heater haha
Also no gixxer for track bike as it will probably be a fairly new/expensive bike and I am a fairly new/rubbish rider.

Have you got a price from the powdercoaters for the frame and swingarm?

Yeah I was quoted around £120 for both which I didn't think was too bad at all.
