Scary Sand
This was taken by a friend of a friend of mine in Texas. My friend was ok, it had calmed a bit by the time it reached his house in San Angelo...but his friend had three windows blown out of her truck and there were a fair few trailers blown over.
I just thought this was an awesome picture and worth sharing...yes, I have permission! https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net...11962523_n.jpg |
Re: Scary Sand
Yep, saw it on the news this morning, pretty amazing pictures, but glad we don't have to live with this

Re: Scary Sand
Well they do say every thing is bigger in Texas, cool pic.

Re: Scary Sand
Been through a much smaller one of these on a bike.
We had to turn the bikes off to keep dirt from stopping up the airbox and hold our breath as the cloud of dust covered us. But only lasted a couple of minutes. Why anyone would choose to live in a dried up desert is beyond me. |
Re: Scary Sand
had one of these in egypt on a nile cruise.. smaller scale but scary
accounts for my sandblasted look |
