powerpoint help if possible
I have been writing my own presentations for years and thought I knew everything I need.
I put in hyperlink to photos and open and view during talk this has worked for years - it opened picture viewer Now it opens internet explorer and this takes about 10 seconds (eternity) to open photo. I have removed link and reset - no better JPG files are associated with viewer so if I click on file (outwith powerpoint) it opens correctly I cannot see an option to set which program a powerpoint hyperlink opens Sorry if this is greek to some but surely someone has encountered this and hopefully resolved it. I will respond to any suggestions but do not be offended if I say - tried it. Stephen McG |

Just stick the photo in a separate slide. There is no need to link it.

Re: powerpoint help if possible
I include many photos directly but I also like to have the option to show a photo (or not) if time permits.
I normally make text that links to photos /other presentations/ spreadsheets etc in a different font so that I know if it is a hyperlink. In that way the same presentation can run for different available times. thanks for suggestion anyway. SMcG |

In which case may I suggest that your presentations are overly complex.
Linking to other presentations/ spreadsheets etc is something I've never needed to do. I've always found the simplest presentations are the most effective. |
