I removed my post as my jokey comment about crashing like Pedrosa - gently - is no longer appropriate after what has just happened. A very sad day.

Didn't read the joke, and your right, it's not the time for jokes, but don't be hard on yourself.

Simoncelli was a real motorbike racer, he took it to the extreme, went balls out, and took big risks. It is very sad that that game has taken his life, but he knew what game he was playing, and more than any of those guys he didn't just accept that risk, he was prepared to make it bigger. He has given his life for his passion.

I posted it up 3 hours before the race started but anyone who didn't see the time might have thought I was being disrespectful.
