Armistice Day Rideout?

Hello all,
been watching tv this morning and got very upset at something!

Found out that a radical muslim group are intending to chant and shout during the 2 minutes silence at the Albert Hall on Sunday!!

As an ex serviceman this made me very very angry!!

Now I dont want to stir up any racial or religious hatred, but I came up with an idea.

Would any other bikers like the idea of meeting up at the Albert Hall on Sunday. When the 2 mins silence and the chanting etc start we simply start our bikes, rev them up a bit and drown out any protesting??

Any views would be gratefully received.

TC

I appreciate your sentiment, but imagine the media's stereotypical response to bikers, they would either not understand your intention, or would just assume you had no regard for the period of silence.

I understand your feelings to a degree, as I am currently with the TA.

It's done stateside, as I understand - there is a church which protests at soldiers funerals, and a group of riders who protest them by revving their bikes.

The most frustrating thing for me is that I served during the first Gulf War and witnessed several deaths. And we were defending a Muslim country!!

Cant stop thinking those poor guys died in vain!!

Something must be done to stop this!!

TC, I agree fully. I'm just worried about our ****ing useless media that never conveys what people all agree.

Just had an idea, see if you cant contact some local newspapers, so that the meaning of your message is not misunderstood...

If you don't want any misunderstanding let MCN know what you are planning so people know why.

I'm not sure the radical protests will be allowed tbh, it's pure incitement ( exactly their aim) so I thought police could step in if this was the case.

Why don't the media report this negatively? Wouldn't do their cause much good.

Just fecking scum IMO anyway, won't change anything, we will still remember and value our fallen, so feck them.

I'd sooner go down there and punch the ****e out of them, but if you're going down there to rev your bike, I'll be there for that too.

I hope to God that at some point the vast majority of good people will say enough. Desecrating the memory of all those who have died to safeguard our country is just vile.

So please rev your engine in remberance.
