Dear Mr Branson, please stick your 747 up your hanger....Virgin Atlantic Rant.

Spent months planning and arranging a tour of Cuba for next year.......booked everything 3 months ago including Premium seats with Virgin Atlantic. We've now been told that VA have changed their schedules, meaning our flights are now on different dates. Due to work commitments it now makes our flights all but impossible, thus rendering our whole holiday null and void. No one else is doing direct flights on the dates we booked. Yes we can cancel and a our deposit back, but we don't have a plan B.

Grrrrr

Try Air Canada? They do fly to the UK

You'd have to stop over in Toronto, but the schedule might work.

IIRC its already a 10hr flight to Cuba so to transfer via canada is going to result in a full day of travelling which means 2 days less holiday spent holidaying.

If its either that, or nothing, I'd take it....

I had my last holiday to Morocco ruined by flight changes after I had made the payment. I would have cancelled if I could have got my money back. Why do holiday companies do this, they know people book "good" flights which then turn out not to be available.

Surely you have a contract with them to get you to place X from place Y on date Z that they have to honour?

As always there's something somewhere buried in the small print. We can go Air France but this adds nearly 4 hours each way, plus you can't be such they'll not be on strike.

And this is a holiday...?

Anything planned to such a tight schedule that an extra 4 hours is going to kill it would be my definition of a nightmare! Chill mate, spend the extra time in duty free and arrive in party mood. It's going to be Cuba after all.
