Cigarette prices
So. I have a friend who has just been on holiday and he brought back a sleeve of benson and hedges and a sleeve of L&M.
Now , he doesn't smoke. So what kind of price should he sell them for over here ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Re: Cigarette prices
They are £6 - £7 a packet in the shops BUT the overseas ones taste pretty awful. So say £30 for 200.

However, for most brands the tabacco is usually refinned in very few locations, with each country tending to then have a manufacturing plant simply to "construct" them locally (in poorer countries)......so tend to taste the same. What you however can't bank on is how long the ingredients / finished product has been sat in a container etc...hence why they frequently taste different. In this country, most are manufatured in asia and shipped/sold almost immediately - hence taste much fresher - in other countries that is not always the case. My bro works for BAT so has all sorts of crazy tales......for instance, he is now living in Minsk - where you can buy a packet of Cigs for the equivelent of 29euro Cents!!!! Just highlights how little cigs can be made for. Quiff - back to your original question, anywhere between 25-30 quids is reasonable and most smokers would pay it considering current prices. |
