Bsb go's dutch!!!

Bikesportnews have just released next years schedule for BSB and it includes a round in the Netherlands??? Hope no one wanted to watch the racing at Croft.

Didn't think MSV would let one of their own rounds go.

Suppose I should actually read the article for explanations (haven't actually bothered yet)

mmm. Bit weird aint it?
BSB...clues in the name.

And 3 rounds a Brands Hatch? Don't see the point in doing the same circuit twice.

Was only a matter of time before Croft was dropped as its a dying circuit.
3 at Brands is a bit daft as the Friday at the Brands GP's is on the Indy Circuit.

It'll be good to see how close the BSB bikes are to WSB spec times wise at Assen

As for the 3 round thing there appears to be a lack of top quality tracks in the country. Then again if you owned the series and half of the tracks you'd be putting most of the races on your own tarmac wouldn't ya.

Its sad that Croft is dying, sums up this country though, I wonder how many of the people that complained about the noise moved into the area knowing the track was there. What I've heard it was the owners ex-wife that was one of the more vocal about the noise issue.

Sorry rant over please correct me if my information is wrong!!!

Touche

MSV own the tracks and run the series.
It was the an ex owner that caused most of it as he didn't get planning permission for a hotel near the circuit

By that logic they wouldn't have let one go to Assen at all.
Even so there is only 1 Snetterton yet they could've done a 200 and then the 300.

Mallory has been left out again.

Rockingham is always an option.

Anglesey.

There are plenty of options in the UK to not have to go abroad and would actually benefit the individual circuits and ultimately the UK racing scene and the businesses involved.

What possible reason is there to go to Assen? Unless MSV are planning something?

Money, bet they have had to pay JP or come up with some sponsorship.

Re: Bsb go's dutch!!!

Money taking the place of patriotism. Damn shame. BSB should be supporting British tracks and the British Bike industry. They should be using all of the tracks instead of several rounds at the ones they own.

But then that's the short sighted outcome when bean counters are in charge. Just wait until the precedent set at Croft affects Brands and their other tracks. Every track in the Uk (and the entire Motorsport industry) should have come out in support against the BS that happened at Croft.(and is presently happening at Elvington) Insidious creep will get them all without complete support.

Also East Fortune has suffered the same with noise restrictions.
Elvingtons are comical as it is

I like the idea of going to Assen, but also feel its a shame that circuits are being dropped off the calendar and losing out. I love having three rounds at Brands as it's only 20 minutes away but I think it's ridiculous when there are so many other tracks round the country. Even two at Brands and two at Cadwell like a few years ago would make more sense.
