Clutch biting point

Well.....been out fo another blast on my bike today and i am starting to get usse to the engine breaking and am fiding it actually pretty nimble in the cormers once the tyres are warmed up !! Jusdt one quick question....

Where do you guys have the biting point on your clutch? I noticed today mine is pretty much right at the very end so my clutch lever has to be out all the way for the clutch to be fully released ! I dont like it!!!

I prefer it to be a lot earlier o nthe release but then the down side is you have to pull the lever fully in for a quick gear change.

Thoughts????

I also noticed a very slight ticking npoise at 3000rpom, is this normal? I know V twins can be very loud and 'clicky', just wondered !!

Cheers!!

Do a search on here for clutch adjustment.Theres a lot on how to get it right, and not just alter it at the bar end.You will need to get the front sprocket cover off to do it.

Don't ever ride a Yamaha, then!

I have downloaded the service manual so will have a look at it over the weekend. Hopefully it will jsut be a bit of slack in the cable on not a knackered clutch. With only 6300 miles on it you would like to think the clutch is in good knick !
