Christmas Supercar Build
First off job was to build the gearbox. Only 4 gears:

Oil retention is going to be an issue. Maybe it's a dry sump set up. https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/--...1226-00316.jpg Next up I worked on the rear differential and rear suspension module. It was easier to do this off the car and offer up afterwards. https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-p...1226-00318.jpg Different view - now with track rods attached https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-Z...1226-00319.jpg Rear diff and suspension module errr...bolted on https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-S...1226-00320.jpg Other angle. Suspension not yet connected to the top mounts https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-Z...1226-00322.jpg Suspension now mounted and back wheels on - now dropped off the axle stands :) https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-2...1226-00324.jpg Active aerodynamics (motorised rear spoiler) setup. Sorry about the poor picture. It was getting dark https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-7...1226-00326.jpg Racing bucket seats added. Minimal padding, but more comfortable than they look https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-H...1226-00327.jpg Front suspension module and steering rack next. Note that there are double wishbones all round. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-q...1226-00328.jpg Attached to chassis rails. Nearly got a full rolling chassis now. https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-_...1226-00329.jpg Next job - the powerplant. V8. Went together well. Haven't compresion checked it yet though - fingers crossed. https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-o...1226-00331.jpg Underside showing the crank and con rods. https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-V...1226-00332.jpg V8 installed. https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-f...1226-00334.jpg Full rolling chassis completed https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-y...1226-00335.jpg Front bumper assembly errr....assembled https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-0...1226-00337.jpg Dashboard and steering wheel installed. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-C...1226-00338.jpg Right side dihedral door installed https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-c...1226-00341.jpg Door in open position https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-J...1226-00342.jpg All the other panels bolted on https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-q...1226-00343.jpg Headlights wired up https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-J...1226-00344.jpg Rear light clusters installed and wired up. Better shot of the active aero https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-A...1226-00345.jpg Bonnet up. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-E...1226-00346.jpg Hope you enjoyed the build :) |

Re: Christmas Supercar Build
I applaud the effort and engineering Scoobs but while it was in the build stage would it not have made sense to make it a right hand drive for our British roads???
