Thought id introduce myself...

Hi guys, newbie here! Been meaning to join up here for a while but havent got round to it before now. Havent had a good gander through the forums yet, thought i'd introduce myself first. So here goes.....

My name is Rob, i'm 19. I did my CBT at 16 on a scooter (not much of a pleasent experience) Wanted to get ts50 but never found one for the right price, they're well expensive for what they are!
So a month before my 17th i bought myself a 1982 gs125 for £250, non runner, took a couple of months to sort but got there in the end... Best feeling in the world (apart from passing the test) getting let loose on the open roads :D
Rode around on L's for a year untill i finally passed my test, bought myself a 1988 Honda cb350 s in white. nice little bit of extra power to keep me interested. My original plan was to keep it for the entire 2 years of my restriction, but once i'd started working, i'd gathered enough funds for a 'nice' clean bike. so off i went onto ebay looking at various bikes, particularly the sv, bandit and yamaha fazer.
So then i came accross this on ebay ;-

At first i wasn't too keen as it has a reasonably higher milage than i wanted, but it was only in preston so thought sod it, why not go look! It had 54k miles when i got it back in august, its now up to 59k and still going strong. Got it for £1100 in the end which i thought was fairly reasonable, especially for a dealer!
Then there was the trouble of getting it restricted. there was no chance i was gonna fork over £200+ to get an FI kit! There were a few on ebay for around the £30 mark but tbh i still thought that was too much! Thats when i first stumbled upon this forum, one of you helpful members had put the washer dimensions up (Big thanks to whoever it was) so got a pair made up for a fiver....Sorted

So thats it i have never looked back since! It really is a great bike, so easy to ride.....and the sound! OHHHHH the sound haha!
Since i got it ive put on a beowolf exhaust, put a different screen on and ive taken that top box rack off. Next thing i want for it is a rear hugger.....if i can find one cheap enough :/

Cheers

Hi from down south. Nice looking curvy - ride safe now, you might bounce but those fairings are getting harder to find!
