Icelandic mountain bike ride in memory of my son
As some of you may be aware, my wife and I lost our son at 5 months. He was stillborn 29th October and we named him Harrison.
My two brothers Ben and Scott have taken it upon themselves to put themselves through a monstrouse task of a 300km ride through the Icelandic highlands later this year. All money raised will be going to SANDS (stillbirth and neonatal death society). They have set a target of £3000 but obviously would love to raise more if possible. It's not just about raising money but raising awareness of this taboo subject. 1 in 25 births are stillborn in the uk, tho is a much higher rate than in other eu countries. Not enough time or money is put in to researching for answers. To help raise funds for this, I will be looking to you generous lot for assistance if you are able and any ideas you guys can come up with would be great. Thank you for taking the time to read this and for any help you can offer. Steve & Soozy You can donate directly to the Just Giving page here http://www.justgiving.com/Peanut-Masser Or the Facebook JustGiving page http://apps.facebook.com/jgdonation/...er/on-facebook Or follow the SANDS Facebook page that We have set up for your words of encouragement. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Footpr...34518419900017 |
