Best backpack for my expensive camera whilst on bike?
After a good hard case backpack for my camera, if I ever came off I would like to think my camera would have a fighting chance, I really want to get out and take shots whilst out but afraid too :S.

Box inside a tank bag?
Think if I came off I'd be more concerned about a hard backpack doing damage to my spine than I would be about the camera. |

Would you not be better off sticking it in a tank bag / tail pack?

Re: Best backpack for my expensive camera whilst on bike
I used to use a tank bag with peli foam inserts . never bothered my Nixon. On a safety note, I wouldn't use a backpack on my bike due the risk kf injury. I know of a lad who is paralysed for just that reason.
Givi do a good bag. T440n model number Pete ;) |

Another vote for avoiding solid metal lumps in a backpack. I wouldn't want a camera between me and the tarmac in an accident.
The ultimate solution is a foam filled Peli case cut to fit your camera. But you could get pretty close with a foam lined topbox and a regular camera bag. |
Re: Best backpack for my expensive camera whilst on bike
put your camera in a camera specific hard case then put it in a top box or tail pack.

Re: Best backpack for my expensive camera whilst on bike
I bung my canon into a case and then a kriega tail pack.
I'm not a fan of ruck sacks on bikes either due to risk of injury. |

Maplin do some peli-alike cases, you could bolt one to a spare pillion seat...
