Indicator, alarm and electrical query.

Evening all long time no speak!! Wondering if anyone can provide short notice electrical help - got to the bike yesterday morning to find some fools had stolen / ripped off my rear indys leaving bare wires. I actually did a short journey before noticing and only saw as I got off. Now coming to the bike and the datatool 3 has gone a bit nuts and wont unimmobilise - the two related? Should I wrap them together or not allow them to touch? Have no tools and 150 miles from home grrrr any quick fixes would be greatly appreciated

Re: Quick plea for help

Insulate them from each other. otherwise may blow fuse and cause bigger problems. Datatool may not be happy when it tries to flash indicators but shouldnt do an harm

Cheers kilted long time! Still not fitted your rack to the bike yet lol..If they've happened to touch which fuse is a likely culprit? Can see small fusebox with signal low beam ignition etc but peering thru the rear with phone as a light they seem ok.. trying to find something to pop them out with at the mo

On a recovery truck home.. just whacked it straight on and on the road we go! Hmm pushbike to work in the morning it seems :S new indys already ordered from the bay though thought I'd do something productive whilst waiting :)

Re: Indicator, alarm and electrical query.

My datatool alarm has a seperate fuse under the rear seat. When this blows the alarm goes skitso and imobilises the bike. Hopefully its an easy fix like that for you!

Fluffer, sorry i misread your first post. i didnt realise the bike wouldnt start, sorry.
I thought you were just trying to prevent issues on the way home or the alarm was constantly alarming. Sorry.
Note to self, read more carefully.
