Motocrossing in Doncaster

I'm organising a group MX day at Doncaster Moto Park, next to Robin Hood airport, and there are places available. The date is Tuesday 8th May, just after the bank holiday weekend.

No experience is necessary, in fact if you're over 7 years old and 4ft high you'll do, and believe me, being a road rider isn't much of an advantage either. Everything is provided - bikes, gear, track, tuition - all you need is lunch and underpants. It's all run by ex-British MX champion Geoff Mayes www.mxtryout.co.uk who is the original diamond geezer and has the patience of a saint.

Cost is about £110 for a full day, 1000-1600. I've done this a load of times (though am still crap), and have taken loads of people who have never ridden off road, and plenty more who couldn't ride a motorbike at all. It's a lorra lorra fun. PM me or reply below for more.

I need deposits (£40) by the end of Feb to guarantee a place, and balance by end of April. There are usually a few last-minute places but of course I can't be sure right now. Deposits are non-refundable (this is only covering what I am asked to pay by Geoff) but if you need to drop out then there's usually a good chance your place can be sold to someone else.

It's a great day. The setup is that we share the bikes (just over 2 people per bike on average) as this brings the cost down to sensible levels and there's no way you'd be able to ride full time all day, especially as a novice. There's a practice oval, then a small track, then the big track, you progress when you feel ready. The bikes are branners KDX250s and KX125s, which are plenty enough believe me. It's all quite friendly and relaxed, bring your other halves, cameras etc.

With enough interest there is also the 28th August, which also gives you more time to save up your pennies. Who would be interested in that one?

Subject to the dates for the P2P ride, I'd be more comfortable with August as well.
