Spring length - original/Ktech?

Having stripped my forks in the kitchen while the wife's at the shops i've discovered my new k-tech springs are shorter than the origionals , is this normal ? can I rebuild them now or is my goose cooked .

Re: Spring length - original/Ktech?

The outcome , the origional springs were 43.7 cm the new k-techs are 42.8 cm which comes within the spring free length service limit , so 490cc of 10w fork oil , 94 mm air gap , spring , washer, standard spacer tube , top nut on and adjuster screwed down 2 notches , went out this morning at 11ish and got in about 2 hours ago , I don't know if it was the new front suspension , the new conti's scrubed in but man what a difference , i've no idea how far I went but i've done in 2 tanks of fuel and my glutimus maximus , thats the first i've felt confident in the wet so its a ton well spent , if your thinking of doing this mod its worth every penny .
