heated insoles

treated myself yesterday, (I already have heated socks, but they are a bit of a pain like any 12v stuff, in that you have to attach yourself to the bike.) and got a pair of these

I got some ex-demo, still sealed in the bag (box was a bit battered) for £10, but they are reduced from £25 to £15, been testing them today, I got about 3 hours out of a set of batteries (6 x AA, 3 each side), the battery sits nicely in the top of my boots, toasty toes....Mmmmm nice

Cheers Mark.

Heats up to 45° C for up to 2 hours...so for an all day trip you'd be using up and changing a lot of batteries..? Good idea though.

Only do from size 6 too

not really, you don't need to keep them turned on all the time and it's easy to get to the battery packs anyway, the heat pad is clearly marked and only on the toe section, they are marked down to a size 6 it's true, but no reason you couldn't cut them down further if you needed to, just though it was a cheap option and as said, todays test seemed to show they work alright.

Cheers Mark.

Na I'm a poor old cripple who bimbles about a bit, I just don't see any reason to get cold, not what I ride for.
