Recommend me a bike camera

Been thinking about it for a while but following this Ive decided to get a camera for the bike.
Now i'm a tight jock so not looking to spend a fortune (definately under £70), i'm not going to be posting weekly vids of this or that ride. It will mainly be used to review my rides and for evidence in the case of an incident.
Oh its scotland so needs to be weatherproof.

I've done a search and there are a lot of threads discussing this but many have links to items that are now discontinued etc.

So what have you got / had
how much
battery life (or hard wired)
quality, vid and actual unit
ease of use, transfer files etc.

Thanks

Can't recommend a camera for that price but one thing I would try and get is sd card memory, it makes it very easy then to bang in your card reader and get the files.

I have one of the "HD keychain" cams off eBay. £25 posted, takes microSD (16GB for £9) records in 720p and is good enough for evidence. Definitely not waterproof though and looks like a car key.

I saw this on amazon a few days ago and it looks pretty good.

I got one of these from 7 day shop early last year, continuous recording in 5 minutes blocks (about a second lost between each), 8gb micro sd gives 5 hours then it over writes the oldest one, internal battery is good for about an hour, but I run mine with the usb cable in a fag lighter socket on the bike, I did have to tape the lead up to weather proof that bit, brought mine when they had a deal going sub £20 with the 8gb card included, good camera for the money.

Cheers Mark.

Not a recommendation as such, because I've never even seen one, but this may appeal to the badgers rrssss in you. ;-)

It looks like a big hand held camcorder type thing in the photos, but actually it's tiny, about the size of a thumb

and some examples of the videos it creates

It says it can be sound activated, but I don't know by what sound exactly. I'd like one on the front dashboard of the car, and one in the rear windscreen, but I'd only want to record when something dangerous was going on around me, such as a tosser in an Audi 3 feet off my rear bumper at 90mph whilst on the phone.

I'd love a go pro. But they're so big. If you're not scrimping then the contour HD is pretty good too. The dogcam bullet is decent for the price and size and comes with loads of ways to attach.

The Mini DV isn't a very good camera, you get the odd one that works & that doesn't so be carefull.

Theres quite a few to choose from, I like my action cameras so I've got a few but it's ovbiously money thats stopping you buying the best.

Do you want something that's just plug & charge or that takes batteries?
Do you want HD or SD?
