LoveFilm or NetFlix
Hey folks,
I have LoveFilm and am paying 9.99 a month for Unlimited online viewing and 2 discs at home package. Netflix I think is 5.99 a month for unlimited viewing :D I've heard some good things about NetFlix being better and with the added bonus of being able to watch programmes on it. Has anyone got NetFlix and is it any good? |
Re: LoveFilm or NetFlix
I got as for as the sign up page and they wanted card details for the trial so turned off.
I can understand why, but scaring people away when they want to know more is a bad business model |
I've got Netflix. The film selection is average but the tv series selection is much better, especially if you're a fan of American tv! I've just got into Dexter and I'm loving it at the moment! Also, unlike Lovefilm, there is no pay per view films, you get everything for £6.

Re: LoveFilm or NetFlix
Both crap, use the £6 quid towards a monthly usenet account and download all media you could ever want.
;) Dexter is the man :D although the latest series is a bit of a let down. |

Netflix is quite poo. Mostly american rubbish and the layout on the xbox is dreadful.

Re: LoveFilm or NetFlix
What's your movie watching setup like and what's the streaming quality? I've done the whole TV on the wall with 5.1 surround sound business in my lounge, and to make the most of it, I try to get only blu-rays from LoveFilm. I'd be happy with an online streaming service if it came in the same res as blu-ray with high-def surround sound, but I'm fairly sure it's a lower res with stereo sound only. Not really a big deal for most people, but the extra few quid a month to get the better experience is worth it for me, since I've put the effort into setting it all up. Plus at least with a blu-ray/dvd, you don't have to worry about internet slow down issues.

Priced low to entice you in, but then prices will go up
Netflix choice of movies is poor from what I've read, which will improve. |
Re: LoveFilm or NetFlix
I'm looking at signing up...........but not really impressed by what I've seen so far.....there's always the BT option...not a fan of BT (lots of on demand stuff) but I can get it for £4pm

Re: LoveFilm or NetFlix
Someone at work has tried Netflix, and says it's poor. The films are really old. I had a look, films like "Faceoff" and "Kill Bill" . their use of the word "unlimited" doesn't apply to their film range.
