SV650s (04) won't start

Yo guys.

Bike broke down on Monday as the fuel pump wouldn't prime and CHEC is displayed on the dash.

I've tried to load the error using a wire to pop it in dealer mode but it just keeps displaying CHEC? Not sure if I've done it right and wondering if I've wiped the fault code?
Am I right in thinking this?
I've tried a new fuel pump relay but now I'm just hoping on of the safety switches is faulty.
What should I check to start off with?

Cheers guys, bike is needed for everyday use! :(

I pulled up at traffic lights with it running fine and let the clutch out to set off only to realise it had stopped running and wouldn't start again?

Yo.
I don't have an alarm as I know how much trouble they cause. Whats the best way of checking each of the switches?
Do I just run a wire between the points on the cables? Clutch, kill switch and side stand?
Could someone let me know how to bypass each one?

I've met Chris a few times before at shooting and on a few rides but I don't have alot of money at the moment :S
I'll run some searches on how to run the bypasses on each switch and see if any of those have an effect

Hello.

If any of the safety switches is tripped at the time of trying to start my bike am I right in thinking that it shouldn't turn over at all?
