Which bike next?
 

Hi all,
After a near death experience (got gassed at work last summer) i had a pleasant surprise in the form of a solicitor's letter at the weekend.
It looks like i will be getting a bit more compensation than first thought due to loss of smell/taste and p.t.s.d. (weird how this kicked in 6 months after the event just about to start seeing a councillor)
Had already decided to spend it on the house, but now there may be enough left over for a new bike so.............
choices so far are, street triple r (in white) or a speed triple (in white) or a honda cb1000r (in extreme colours)
now it will be used for the daily commute, week-end plaything and occasional blat with the wife on the back.
Any thought's or suggestion's mucho appreciated

I bought a Yam FZ1-s in November.. Superbike!!

Hadn't even thought of the FZ1, used to have an R1 (it was in a kitcar though oh and turbo'd!)

I'd be tempted by the Honda subject to test ride..

Go waggle your wad of cash at some dealers and tell them which bikes you're interested in. :thumbsup:

Just got to persuade the wife that we should get the bike first and 'then' sort out the house!

Well i did try " Ok love, how about 'we' get a year or so old example for around 5k then 'we' could also get a gsxr600 k1 'cheap' as well,best of both worlds and it will be cheaper in the long run 'honest' "
But that didn't work either......have to try harder

Test ride all that interest you and choose the one that seems to suit your riding best!

Out of that list though i'd go for the Speed Triple. Also have a look at Ducati's new Streetfighter 848 S

In my extremely biased opinion - "daily commute, week-end plaything and occasional blat with the wife on the back." = KTM SMT

Get British, I have a street triple R and there fantastic but the new speed triple is leagues ahead, it will blow any other bike away, test one with twin arrows on.
